Kristy Seidenberg

Kristy Seidenberg has been practicing law in Georgia for over two decades. Kristy earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Ball State University, holds a master’s degree in counseling from Columbus State University, and earned her Juris Doctorate at Emory University School of Law.  She is a Mediator/Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist and has served the law as an attorney, mediator, counselor, educator and Guardian Ad Litem.

Kristy’s earliest legal experiences were centered around domestic violence issues, and she also draws continually on her earlier careers as a licensed therapist and as an educator in her practice as a family lawyer.  As a therapist, she has extensive experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation.  As a former classroom teacher, she understands the myriad challenges faced by families with children.

These capabilities, combined with her deep experience as a litigator, make Kristy a formidable family lawyer.

Kristy also has experience with property rights law, which has informed her insights in the equitable division of property and has led to her mastery of Probate law.  Her experience in this area dovetails nicely with the practice of family law because of their obvious relationship to each other, and in the way that they both deal with conflict, financial issues, and family dynamics

When not applying her unique skillset to the work of family law Kristy is often called upon to serve as a speaker in seminars, training, and community forums.

Kristy is a wife and a mother of two young adults.  She is also a dog mom, a cat mom, and a dedicated, lifelong horsewoman.  When she’s not working she enjoys her time on in the saddle and life on their farm.
